Open 2012-2013 Board of Directors Positions:

Applications Due March 2nd by 4PM to SAB Office, 204 Student Center

The Student Activities Board will be accepting applications for the following Board of Director Positions for 2012-2013:

  • Vice-President of Promotions
  • Director of Graphic Design

Please note: All applicants must be full-time students and must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

The Board of Directors applications are provided for download below. Please submit the application and associated projects for your desired position to the mailbox of the President in the SAB office, Student Center room 204.

The Student Activities Board Traditions Committee is now accepting applications for the 2012 Homecoming Committee.

Consisting of the Parade, Paint the Town Blue, Kitty Karnival, Promotions and Royalty chairs, this Committee will be responsible for upholding the University of Kentucky's best Homecoming traditions, at the same time creating new traditions.

Please note: All applicants must be full-time students and must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

The Homecoming Committee applications are provided for download below. Please submit the application and associated projects for your desired position to the mailbox of the Director of Traditions in the SAB office, Student Center Room 204.

Applications

Vice President of Promotions

The Vice-President of Promotions is responsible for leading virtually all efforts to promote the Student Activities Board and its events to the UK campus and community.  The position primarily serves as the leader of the Promotions Team, coordinating the efforts of the skill-based positions for Graphic Design, Market Research, Web Design, and Public Relations to produce all of the promotional mediums for SAB.  In addition to leading the Promotions Team, the Vice-President of Promotions works as an executive member on the overall development and implementation of organizational goals. Working closely with the President and Vice-President of Internal Affairs to lead the organization, the Director of Promotions focuses on the overall promotional marketing of SAB, while contributing to any other discussions and initiatives among the Executive Leadership.

*This position can also provide the opportunity to earn JAT 399, or other academic internship credit.

Weekly Time Commitment:  20 hours

Director of Graphic Design

The Director of Graphic Design is responsible for designing all of the Student Activities Board’s main promotional mediums. With input from other members of the board, the Director will ultimately determine the visual identity of SAB and its programs.

*This position can also provide the opportunity to earn JAT 399, or other academic internship credit.

Weekly Time Commitment:  20 hours

Homecoming Committee

This year's Homecoming Week will be October 13-20, 2012. Created by current students for peers, alumni and prospective students, Homecoming Week focuses on both building new and reminiscing on old UK memories. As members of the Homecoming Committee, students get the chance to use their leadership strengths to let the community know what they love about the University of Kentucky.
