The Student Activities Board (SAB) is the largest programming board at the University of Kentucky. SAB brings more than 60 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to campus each year. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff, and the greater Lexington community.

The Board is composed of five main entities: three executives, seven programming committee directors, five promotions directors, a market research team, and committee chair members. The executives are responsible for directing and overseeing the operations of the organization as a whole. The seven programming committee directors lead and coordinate the efforts of seven independent committees that program all of SAB’s events. The five members of the promotions team are skill-based positions that support the programming committees in creating promotional materials. The market research team is responsible for gathering input from students about prospective events via surveys and focus groups. Visit our “What We Bring to Campus!” page for more information on each committee!

The Student Activities Board operates under the Student Activities Board Constitution, a document that outlines our organization and how it shall be run and structured. The Constitution addresses our Mission & Core Values, the structure of the board, committee descriptions & responsibilities, voting privilege & authority, and proposal processes.
